Travelling to India.. Expedited AP

Hi,

I have an emergency travel coming up to India from US on July 2nd and coming back on July 25th

I have applied for my AP in April and have sent the supporting documents in May after I got a query. Now I have expedited the process by calling USCIS.

My question: Is it OK for me to travel to India if I do not get any information about my AP by July 2nd?

And assuming I get my AP before July 25th, Can I come back to US using that?

Any response/experience/facts related to this is really really appreciated.
 
Your AP should be approved before you leave the country else it is assumed that you are abandoning your I-485.
