Travelling on OPT

I am a resident of canada and working in US on H1. I would like to go there for my PR card. My wife had her status changed from H1 to F1 and is now on OPT. She is also a permanent resident of canada. Can she travel with me to canada and reenter US on OPT. On EAD given while under OPT it is clearly mentioned that it is not valid for re-entry to US. Will that hold true for canadian residents.
If anyone knows about this please let me know as i am planning to there asap.
 
My wife has an I-20 but on the back of it the university has added that she has applied for OPT. She now got the OPT. I dont think they will accept the I-20 as a valid one. So can she reenter on showing the OPT card?
