Hi, this one is for my friend, he is about to travel on AP.

He's a bit concerned, because in the past he used to get fingerprinted and photographed both inbound and outbound whenever he entered the US before. They call it FINS (finger printing identification number). Now his I-130 & I-485 is pending AOS.

What documents should he carry with him to show to the immigration officer on his return to the US. Apart from the AP document, Passport (of course) and what more?

He is travelling to his previous country of residence and on the way visit another country in the Caribbean.

Can anybody share their experience on travelling on AP and immigration at POE (Port of Entry).

Thank you in advance.

I was having pending employment based I-485 and when I come back here they didnt ask me a single question. I asked them that I have to go for the special registration and they said no.

I would say that employment letters and copy of receipt notices should be enough to verify that you have a genuine application pending here.
I never heard that entering by AP is a problem. So go there and enjioy your vacations.

Good luck.
