Mine is a slighly complex case. Have been an LPR since 2005 but had to take a foreign assignment in the UK (subsidiary of US company) in 2008 and had got valid approvals of N470 and reentry permits. So was out of country in 2009 whole and filed my N400 in the US in May 2010 (I was in the US from Feb-mid June)
I had my intvw Aug 4th in SFO. The officer did not want to see the additional evidence but insisted it be sent thru mail - so I've begin to wait. I was to get the RFE in a week and then response and decision etc. I've heard that this phase can take a bit of time in some cases.
a) I wanted to know if it is possible to leave the US for a short period of a month or two (provided I keep/manage continuous and physical requirments intact) while the RFE is being responded to and return if an oath or positive decision is made.
b) Also during oath, do they again check/ask trips abroad and other rqmts ie is there any other application forms that we fill in or answer to someone when we come back for oath.
