I got my green card valid for 10 yrs last March and planning to go back home to study and it will take me at least 2-3 years to finish. One of the requirement for applying for naturalization is that 3 years of continous residence,If i will travel every 6 months coming back in forth in 3 years, can I apply naturalization or do I have to apply for any kind of permit?

You should apply for a Re-Entry permit. That'll preserve your GC. It will be valid for 2 years (hopefully), and then you have to apply again. The second time, hopefully, it will be valid for 2 years, but could be valid for 1. This does not help for naturalisation, though. For that, you need to have been in the US for at least 2.5 out of the preceding 5 years, but you have to be a resident of the US continually for those 5 years.
