Traveling without AP - Valid H1B

I have Valid H1B visa. Do I need to get AP when I-485 is pending for traveling out of US.

no. read INS FAQ, advance Parole

As long as you are in valid H1B status, you can travel out of country without any problems. You can get info from immihelp.com Advanced Parole topic or consult your attorney.

Just be 100% certain that the employer does not cancel your H-1 while you are overseas.

When I travelled last time in I-485 peding stage, my lawyer
suggested the same thing what Jim Mills adviced.
Keep the AP with you, but in airport show only your
H1 visa to INS officer. In case "something wrong" happens
when you are abroad, come back with AP.
