Traveling on AP when H1 renewal pending

Is it safe to travel using AP when the current H1 has expired and H1 renewal (extension of stay in US) is pending? Will the H1 approval have a valid I-94 ?
 
My Case is also same

I am also travelling on AP and my H1 is pending. Let me know if you find any information on this.
