traveling on Advance Parole

hi -

posting for a friend in india:

have an advance parole document. went to india for a short trip and while i was there, thought i'd get h1-b renewed as well (on the suggestion by company attorney). while doing that, the consulate person said i am pending security clearance - which no one knows how long it would take.

i can still travel back on advance parole? right?

Yes a parole is a document that will allow you back in the country. Can they still scrutinize it ,sure they can. An advanced parole in itself is not a guarantee but rather a piece of paper saying you have a pending process.
