Hi there,
I'm writing to ask for some clarification. I am a greencard holder and in October 2009 I will be eligible to apply for citizenship (90 days before 5 years of continuous residence). In August 2009, I will be marrying a US citizen.
We will be moving to the UK in January 2010 (my fiance will be attending grad school there for 3 years). Does anyone know whether my leaving the US will impact my ability to apply for citizenship? Also, does the fact that I will be marrying a US citizen in August 2009 impact my eligibility for citizenship?
I'm thoroughly confused! Any information/advice you have would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Jo-Anne
