Traveling after AOS interview and before receiving green card

I had applied for Advance Parole. I didn't get it yet but just got the interview notice (so I guess I will not be getting my AP?).

How long after the interview will I get the green card? I have tickets booked for a foreign travel few weeks after interview.

Do they stamp a temporary green card, if not, which other way can I travel?

Thanks!!

They might approve you immediately at the interview, afterwards the same day, or not approve you for a long time afterwards. Nobody can say. Once they approve you, you are a permanent resident, and can get an I-551 stamp. If your green card is approved before the AP is approved, your will not get the AP; it will be cancelled. You can travel once you get the AP or the green card (or an I-551 stamp which is a green card).

If your case is still pending for weeks after the interview, you should receive Advance Parole by then. If your GC is officially approved before you travel, you won't need Advance Parole.

Thanks for the replies!
I must be wrong but I was thinking that once we get an interview call, they revoke the AP application. I guess I would still be receiving the travel document. Am I right?
Also, If I am not approved for Green card immediately AND I do not receive my AP by then, can I get an infopass and get some stamp or document for an urgent travel (severe financial loss if I don't travel)?

When did you apply for AOS? Did you get work permit?

After the interview it might be a matter of days or an indefinite time.

I hope you also applied for an EAD through your green card process. If not, apply for it ASAP. Once you travel abroad and return with AP, you'll lose your F-1 status and won't be eligible to work with the old EAD, so you'll need the new EAD based on your adjustment of status process.
