Traveling abroad on H1 after filing I-485

Hi,
   Could somebody advice me on issues if any with traveling to India on my H1 visa. I have filed my I-485 and haven\'t recieved a reciept yet

As long as your H-1 visa is valid you don\'t have any problem.

When you are in India and if your 485 gets approved, what is the case?

Is H1-B still vaild or H1-B becomes invaild once your case get approved?

Any thoughts?

my corporate attorney advised me to wait for the receipts which may take 6-8 weeks from RD
