Travel with 1st Oct 2007 H1 Approval (OPT period)

Hi,

My H1-B (Masters quota) receipt has come. Approval may come in another 3-5 weeks. I am on OPT till Sept 2007. Is it safe to travel with H1 approval to India in June 2007 for marriage?. I plan to return back on OPT in 15 days.

Is H1B approval suggest a assured job offer or do I need to carry for immigration port a job offer letter from employer?.

Travel is fine if you are on OPT, but your COS may get invalidated. You may need to get H1 stamp.
