I am traveling to India next month on a H1-b visa with a valid stamp while my EB2-NIW/I-485 are being processed concurrently. Does anybody know what documents should I carry with me? I am taking my original H1-B visa approval notice and photocopies of I-40/I-485/EAD/AP receipt notices. Am I missing something here?

Thanks for the information.

I think you have to carry original copy of I 485 and show it at time of entry into US.
I have read before that if you do not show I 485 original, the immigration officer may mark whole GC process as Abondoned. I do not have link with me at this time but I recall there was probably a discussion forum on this before also.
Please check with your attorney about it.

I don't think you have to show your original 1-485 receipt as long as your are entering on H1-B visa, until they ask for it.

Guys please let me know if i am wrong...

I may be wrong here but I read it somewhere on one of the forum.
One article from
"http://www.immihelp.com/gc/aos/eadap_h1.html" also says that one should carry original 485. See the para below:
As long as the person maintains the H/L status(H/L status not expired and H1/L1 holders not working for any other employer other than sponsoring employer and H4/L2 holders not working at all), he/she can travel outside US and come back with out the need for advanced parole even after applying for adjustment of status.
The person can enter using his/her non-expired H/L visa. The person needs to carry his/her "original" I-485 receipt otherwise serious delay at the airport may be caused.

I would try to find the other link also and send it if I am able to lay my hands on it.

I agree with what you and the website is saying that you have to carry I-485 receipt notice.

But what i am saying is that if it is mandatory to show until they ask for it?
