Hi,

I need to travel to Mexico City, Mexico for one day. Do I need a visa to visit Mexico? Can anyone let me know what I need ? I'm a green card holder and will be flying in to Mexico City.

Most people who have a green card do not need anything else other than your passport to enter Mexico. If you are a national of certain countries (like Sri Lanka) then you need a visa to enter Mexico even if you have a Green Card.

Just went to Mexico (Mexico City and Cancun) w/o the local visa. My passport (Russia) and the GC was enough.
I was surprised - US Citizens did not even bothered for the passports - they all had their drivers licenses and burth certificates. Very relaxed border control. No questions asked. Mexican official made a computer scan of my GC.
