Travel to Mexico with PR Stamping

Gurus,

I need your help. I am travelling to Mexico on business to one of our Manufacturing plants. I have the Permanent Resident stamping in my stamping in my passport but no Green Card in hand. I am citizen of India.

Can I travel to Mexico without a visa. I will be staying in Mexico for 7 days.

These Consulates are useless, nobody has a clue!

Stamp will work as good as GC while entering US.
I am not sure this stamp will serve purpose as VISA to Mexico.
Better to be confirmed with their embassy.

I had contacted the Mexican Consulate in Atlanta several months back, they told me that I will need a Visa if I have only the stamp in the Passport.
Only with a physical Green Card can you enter without a Visa.
