Travel to Mexico on AP

I am taking a trip to San Diego and would like to drive into Mexico for a half day trip. I am a citizen of India and I have EAD & AP and done 2nd FP also. Does anybody know if I need a visa to travel to Mexico? Also, will they take my I-94 at the border and I have to use AP to re-enter?

U will need AP

U will need AP to get back into US...

One Sugestion - Do not take UR car into Mexico...
Just walk across and have fun....UR car will not have insurance in Mexico(Almost no insurance company allows)
and there are parking lots on the border, where U can park and just walk to the other side...
 
I dont think that is true. You need a visa to visit Mexico if you dont have a Physical Green Card.

Yes, U will need visa to get into Mexico...

Once U get UR GC, U wont need a Visa....

But many times...the mexican authorities will just ask you....

" Do U have proper documentation..."
If U respond yes, U will just walk through..even without them looking for UR passport...
