Travel to India with GC Stamp

Hello Gurus:

1) I got my GC stamped on April'7 2003 (got through employment in US for 6 years). I am planning on an vacation for 2.5 months to India, does it impact my GC any way while returning back to US? I heard we should not stay long time outside US as soon as you get the GC.

2) Also INS sent my GC to some old address and it was returned back to them by post office as undeliverable! What is the best approach to get my undelivered GC back?

Any help with above questions are great!
 
I got my GC stamp on Jun 16th. I am yet to get my plastic card. In between, I went on vacation to India using the GC stamp. No question was asked anywhere. There should not be any problem if the length of stay is less than 6 months. My travel was totally problem free and I stood in the GC queue while coming back and I was simply stamped and allowed to go in few seconds. Go ahead with yout travel plan on stamping.
