Travel to India while on OPT (after applying for H1-B)

I am currently on OPT. My company wants to apply for H1-B in the first week of April. I need to go to India in the 2nd week of April to attend my sister's wedding. Am I eligible to make this travel? Am I jeopardizing my entry back into this country or the H1-B approval in anyway by making this trip? Pls advice.

If your company has not filed your H1B yet as a premium processing. You have very slim (No) chances of getting H1B. Because H1B 65,000 cap reached on April 2nd. They received more than 65,000 applications and will draw like a lottery and will selcect 65, 000 applications for processing. Remaining will be returned back without processing.

This situation will not apply to you if your potential employer is an Institute of Higher Education ( like University, etc.)
