Travel to India while on J1 extension

I am on J1 visa, and got it extended for another year, but my visa on my passport will expire in July-07. If I happen to visit India after July and go for visa stamping again, would it be a problem there?

If your J was extended, you can go to the consulate to ask for visa stamp. The extension itself is not the problem. The problem you may face is security background check which may delay you for months waiting there without getting stamp as happened to many.
