Travel To India, URGENT

Status: H1 Visa, Since September 2003 (Stub) - but no stamp on passport.

Student Visa, expired October, 2003.

Want to go to India, ticket booked

August 2 to August 20, 2004.

But visa-services site had interview dates available only in October.

Will I be able to go? or will have to cancel?

you will be able to go but wont be able to enter US again as you don't have valid visa on your passport .If you have advance parole then you can enter on that .

I think what you should do is get the oct appointment at mumbai consulate and reschedule your trip for that time.

You can also go to canada/mexico to get your H1 stamp but for that also you have to get the appointment and their country visa etc ... you dont have so much time now to do all that before 2nd Aug
