Travel to India during change of employment (H1 transfer)

Hi,
I will be moving from Company A to Company B, before starting company B I have to make a trip to India.
Company A end date - May 23,2007
Travel dates - May 24, 2007 to June 9, 2007.
Company B start date - June 11, 2007
I have already sent necessary papers for h1 transfer to company B, but company B attorney says it will take 5-7 business days to apply for H1 change of employer petition (h1 transfer).

Questions:
1. Is it possible for company B to apply for H1 transfer while candidate is in India?
2. If attorney in company B says I have to wait till I come back from India to apply for H1 transfer, Can I re-enter U.S. with company A H1 stamping (It is valid till- Nov 07)?

Please help..,have very little time..Thanks!

Best option: it will be better if your new employer file H1 transfer after you come back but risk is if A revoke your H1 petion by writing to USCIS then problem for H1 transfer approval. If you can still coninue with A after few days after your entry to US that will be better for you.
OR
file H1 transfer with Premum processing and have the H1 transfer approval in your hand before you go out.
Or
change the travel dates
