Travel to designated Country (Oman) while GC pending

I am on H-1B visa. I have applied for my I-465 in March 2003. I have got my EAD. I am travelling to India and Oman (one of the designated countries that have restriction on travel after Sept 11)
for one month. I will be using my H-1B (valid) visa to reenter.

1) I wanted to know if my travel to Oman (3 days) is going to create any problem for me at the port of Entry.

2) Should I use my Advanced parole document to reentery or my valid H-1B visa (valid till 11/2004) ?
I am not married and might in future want to bring my wife here on H-4 visa, so I would like to stay on H-1B visa. Will using AP to reenter has some advantage/disadvantage ?

Please let me know asap as I am travelling next friday.

----- Better reenter on H1b visa get I-94 at POE based on H1b visa status and maintain H1 status till you get married and can bring your wife on H4
