Travel to china with just stamped passport

i485 is approved and pp stamped, waiting for plastic card, really like to go back china before spring festival, does anyone have similar experience can share?

You should be OK. That's what the stamp is for. Just be aware when making your travel plans that you will be sent off for secondary inspection when you return, and if you have a connecting flight after your US arrival you may want to give yourself an extra hour between flights.
