My wife is canadian, and will be receiving her AP this week. When crossing to Canada, does she just present the AP along with her passport? I don't think any other ID would be needed.

On the way back to the US, I'm sure as everyone has stated before we will visit secondary inspection. Anyone with experiance at champlain NY.. is there a best time to pass to avoid lines? Were planning a two hour delay, hopefully it won't take longer then that.

Were bringing all the receipts for filings, BC, Marriage Certs, proof of US residency, and of course - the AP :)

We crossed into Canada last weekend at Champlain NY.

Canadian officer just asked for passports.. then asked our status and I replied US Citizen, my wife replied Adjusting Status. He said do you have anything to prove that? So we showed him the Interview appointment letter, and bam - we crossed into Ca. without a hitch. Took less then 2 minutes.

Came back this weekend and got a real.. let's say 'happy camper' at the booth. Open all the doors, what's in theses bags, etc. So I said why not just let us go to secondary inspection, we need to stamp the AP and get an i-94.. he finally waived us on. We went in, and waited.. got called up, got asked a few minor questions like address and such, when was the last time you crossed the boarder. Then he stamped the AP and took a photocopy and kept it, and stapled an i-94 in her passport. Whole thing took about 30-45 min. of just waiting to be called, and processed.

Piece of cake. :)
