All,

Can one travel to Canada without a visa after thier passport is stamped and with no physical green card.

Thanks,
redhat.

I have send an email to the Canadian Consulate, but havent received a response so far. Will post as soon as I get a response. This is my situation now and I had the same doubt.

In the meanwhile, check out this link:

Guess this would mean that we do not need a Visa:

Many people do not require a visa to visit Canada. These include:

- persons lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence who are in possession of their alien registration card (Green card) or can provide other evidence of permanent residence.

A Temporary Stamp (for I-551) would mean that we are Permanent Residents.

I called canadian consular in Atlanta GA, they told me: YES, you can go as long as you are PR of states.
