I am planning to travel through London and have the I-551 stamp. Do I need a transit visa. I know this has been asked many times before but I did not find a suitable answer.
An I-551 stamp is not grounds for waiver of a transit visa. You must have the plastic card. Depending on your citizenship, you may not need a transit visa.
Plastic Card ? with I-551 stamp in the passport ......
I don't think so ... as said by many and confirmaed by the British emabassy in US, we [ Indians ] need no transit visa ...
I sent an email to the British embassy and they said anyone without a visa stamp or a plastic card will need a transit visa. For example people with APs or I-551.
I know a freind of mine who was not allowed to board the plane at O'Hare because his H1 had expired and had a valid AP.
