Travel Question (EAD/AP)

I will be applying for EAD/AP this month for myself and my wife.
My H1 expires in 3 months and my company does not want to
extend my h1 since they hope that EAD will be approved by then.

1. Can my wife go for vacation to India as soon as she applies for
EAD and AP? does it affect the process?
2. Once AP is recieved can I post her the docs and will she be able to enter US based on the AP? (since the AP was approved
when she was away from US?)

(Note: I checked the forum regarding Question 1 and there are conflicting answers as to wheter one can leave the country after
applying for EAD & AP. Please clarify)

ANS: She has to have the AP in hand before leaving.

ANS: No. See Ans 1

Can you please confirm on the following issue -
Is it true that a person cannot go to India immediately after applying for EAD or AP? does he or she have to be in US until EAD and AP is approved?

My attorney says it is ok to go to India, but others have different
opinion.

your comments will be very important on the issue.
