Travel on stamped H1B while another H1B is approved

I have a cap exempt H1B. I have applied for a new cap subject H1B through a for-profit company on April 1st 2008. My cap-exempt H1B is already stamped on my passport. My question is about travel outside the US.

1) What if my H1B (Cap-subject) is approved? Do I have to get it stamped before re-entering the US
2) What if the new application is not selected in the lottery, or if it is denied. Will this affect my re-entry
3) How are the old and new I-94's to be tackled in case my cap-subject H1B is approved.

I would appreciate answers to these questions.
You guys do a great job here.
Thanks

As long as you have a valid H-1 visa in your passport and you are still employed by the sponsorer then you have no problem.

Thanks NKelkar for your reply
How will the new I94 which comes with new Notice of Action be treated. Will it not nullify the old I94 which I will use for exiting the US and while I am entering again---will there be no clash of the old and New I 94...
Just wanting to gave this confusion cleared before I book the tickets for India.
Thanks
