I have my H1B VISA stamped on my old company. It is valid till 02/2006. I changed to a different company and have a new I797 valid till 10/2006. My question is:
- Can I travel to India and come back to US before Feb 2006 on my existing VISA or do I need a new one? I do understand that I need a new VISA to re-enter after the current VISA expiration date (02/06). Should I give all the I-94's (2) while departing?
- And is it ok if I show the POE officer the new I797 and ask him to give a I-94 valid till 10/2006?
