I am in a strange situation here. I am on F-1 currently and on my CPT doing an Internship for a company, haven't yet graduated from the university. I got marrried to an american citizen in january and the marriage was registered in Texas. I haven't yet applied for my I-485 as it was delayed due to various reasons and if i apply now, i am not sure if i will get my Advance Parole in time for travel before july. I want to go back to India in July to do the ceremonial marriage ceremony there. My question is that if i travel now with my F-1 visa (valid till 2006) a valid I-20 , CPT and a letter of employment from my company, will i have any problems at the port of entry due to this marriage. At the port of entry will they find out about my mariage with an american citizen and deny me entry since i showed "Intent" what are my options here?
I spoke with my international center and they were not quite sure as to wether they will do a complete status check on me when i return and find out about my marriage even though i haven' filed for my AOS. Please, any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated!!!
