Travel on AP without valid EAD ?

This is my situation.

Advance parole vaild until 06/20/2006 and
EAD is valid until 3/18/2006.

I am planning to visit India in April, so at that time my EAD would have expired but my AP is okay. Has anyone tried this before.

I have applied for EAD renewal in Jan 2006 and dont expect that to come before April.

There is absolutely no connection between AP and EAD. Therefore, it is not necessary to have a valid EAD to use AP, or indeed, to have a valid AP to use EAD.

And if it gives you any relief, nobody even asked me if I have an EAD or not, when I used my AP to return to the US in December. Just have all your documents with you...especially the 485 receipt.

What doccument they asked while entering with AP?
passport, AP, I 485 receipt are OK?
Did they asked for H1B?

That should be fine. You probably won't need your I-485 receipt, but if you have it, then it doesn't hurt to take a copy along.
