Travel on AP while 485 pending- questions

Appreciate if some one can answer the following:

a) Is it OK for her to travel out of USA, while 485 is still pending ? If yes, what documents we need to carry other then approbed AP.

b) when enters back , does the Officer at POE takes the original ?

c) What will happen at the starting airport at Mumbai? will the immigration officer there also see or keep the AP ?

d) Do we get I94 in this case at POE in USA while entering back? or Not ?

e) What if 485 gets approved while we are out of USA ?

f) What if we get any RFE on 485 ? while out of USA ?

-- Just AP and passport.

b) when enters back , does the Officer at POE takes the original ?
-- No - they just stamp it.

c) What will happen at the starting airport at Mumbai? will the immigration officer there also see or keep the AP ?
-- They will check it and take a photocopy for their records. If you want to be nice to them (and the people behind you in line) you can have a copy ready.

d) Do we get I94 in this case at POE in USA while entering back? or Not ?
-- Yes. When you fill it in just put "AOS" in the place where it talks about a visa.

e) What if 485 gets approved while we are out of USA ?
-- Not a problem. Worst case you will get a deferred inspection.

f) What if we get any RFE on 485 ? while out of USA ?
-- The only problem could be if you are away too long to respond to the RFE in time.

I have First AP and traving outside US and applied second AP

I have first AP and it is valid before I will come back to US. I also applied renewal of AP before leaving USA. If I will be outside of USA and second AP will approve . Can I come back in USA on First AP.

-- Yes - as long the AP you return on was valid at the time you left then all is OK.

So if the 485 gets approved ? the AP documents become void ? how do we enter back ? do the officer at POE allow ? Or they dont have such record whether or not the 485 approved ?
Or even if the 485 is approved the Travel document holds its value till its end up its expiry ?
