Travel on AP- restrictions on length of stay abroad

Based on AP, is there any restriction on the length of time I/my family members can stay outside the US without creating any problems on re-entry? Also, if the I-485 approval arrives while we are travelling on AP, is there any issue created by INS on re-entry into the US?

No restrictions

can stay till day before AP expiry. If 485 is approved, secondary inspection (standard for AP) will inform that 485 has been approved and so go for stamping ASAP.
