travel on AP after applying for 2nd AP renew?

We applied for EAD and AP renewal (2nd AP) on March 15th by paper filing. (VSC -EB3- RD is March 30th, 2005)
Current AP expires on June 15th 2005. We got the receipt from INS.

My wife wants to travel sometime in May 2005 and comback after June 2005/ july 2005.

Currently, INS is processing AP applications for RD Feb 2005 (VSC).

Can she travel and come back in July 2005? Can i FEDEX the AP documents . (OR) may be find some one to take it and give toher.?

Should the person stay her , while the appliction is being processed.?

If she uses her current AP she needs to come back before june 15th , 2005.
or she can wait for her second AP to be approved and then travel.

She cannot use her second AP to return when her out bound travel is before the start date of the AP

If you need to stay longer apply for the 2nd AP soon. It took me only 2 weeks to get one approved. Applied on May 18th, Rcvd approval on Apr5th.

My case is in TSC.
Checkout VSC's "actual/real" processing times. I guess it is bit longer than TSC.

Cant the person leave the country now and then come back in July 2005 with the new AP docuemnt - which i will be mailing/sending it to her.??


How is that you got the AP approved in 2 weeks ? Amazing!!

"goodsaint" already explained. She cannot leave USA before her new AP approval and use that for re-entry (by receiving AP thru mail or thru someone's hand). If she leave USA before her new AP approved, she needs to come back USA before her existing AP expires.
Basic rule is that she must use the very same AP for re-entry that is valid at the time of departure. If her new applied AP is not approved before her departure she cannot use that for re-entry.
