Travel on Advence Parole -- URGENT

Hi Gurus,

My situation is:

1. I485 filed in Aug 2002
2. Lost job in Apr 2003
3. Worked as an independent contractor from June 2003 to mid Nov 2003 (Five months). I am paid flat rate per month (not hourly basis)
4. Got a permanent job in Nov 2003.

I would like to travel to India on Advance Parole. What are the issues/risks involved while coming back? Did anybody travel with a similar situation as mine? I really appreciate your feedback and help.

if you have valid AP i dont see any problems , be back before AP expires and keep I-485 filing reciept with you(show only if asked you can also keep EAD if you have)
