Hi,

I have to travel out of the country on advance parole due to an emergency situation immediately. I am worried 'cos of the following issue.

Came to the US on July 31st 1999. Left my job on September 7th 1999. The I-94 was valid till July 15th 2001. Filed an H1b transfer on September 20th 1999 that got approved on September 23rd 1999..

Eventhough my H1b transfer was approved, i am not sure if i am out ofstatus between september 7th and september 20th. Will this be an issue/cause any problems at the POE on the way back?

When i went out of the country in 2000, i got the H1b visa stamped in my passport and came back on that. This is my first time on AP and so i am confused.

The only way you would be out of status would be if your company actually informed INS about resignation.

But if you have already entered the US once after that incident, you can conclude that you are considere to be in status throughout.

Travelling on AP is easier than travelling on H1. Shouldn't be a problem for you at all. Check other AP threads for more information on travelling on AP!
