Travel during H1b transfer

Just had a quick question, I have filed for H1b transfer and will be getting a filing notice in a day or two. I am also planning to go to India during the H1b transfer process.

Should I wait for the H1b approval and then go to India?If I wait for the H1b approval, do I have to re-stamp my visa at the consulate in India?

Should I go ahead and go to India with the filing notice and come back to US with old employers visa ( as I have not yet resigned from the old company) and show the filing notice at the POE.

Would appreciate if anyone could answer these simple questions.

---------------------------- Better go after H1 Transfer is approved. if you have valid Visa stamp in your passport through past Employer then at POE show the valid Visa stamp AND H1 transfer notice and you will get I-94 till H1 transfer approval notice.

------------------Filing reciept is not Approval notice.
