Travel during GC renewal period

Hi,

I want to submit an I-90 application to change the name on my green card. What do I do if I have to undertake emergency travel during the 3-4 months it takes for processing?

Also, for name change I-90s, does one have to go through the finger printing / signature / photograph process again?

Thanks

** you can get passport stamp valid for 1 year and you can travel with that stamp

----- when you file I-90 with local USCIS office, you have to provide 2 passport style photographs, your fingerprint on white card and signature on white card+USCIS fee $185 if it was not mistake of USCIS on the card. if no mistake of USCIS on card then document to show for name change.
** what was the problem on Card???
Thanks

Thanks Ginnu.

I'm applying for a new card to change my name due to marriage.

If I fill in the I-90 form online, do I still have to go to the USCIS office for fingerprinting & signature?

Thanks

----- you have to send the Card to USCIS and will go to ASC for fingerprint and signature. read the efiling instructions

*** best option take infopass and go to Local USCIS and file I-90
Thanks
