Hi everybody
My wife needs to go back to canada as her photograph for PR Card needs to be re-taken. Has any body crossed back into Canada lately from US land border without a "Travel Document" when the PR landing document(IMM 5292) was stamped "Not Valid For Travel". Can it be done?

I have read conflicting information on this issue. I would be gratefull if any body can relate a personel experience or let me know what the rules say. Thanks

She is fine if she does not travel commerically to canada . By land in yoru own car is fine to enter canada . My wife does it . She landed after Jun 2002 and lost her PR card . Thats what she does to enter canada

bhand11683,

My wife has the same problem (landed after Jun 2002 and lost her PR card). So I would highly appreciate if you could share your wife's experience to re-enter canada with landing paper and then re-apply for PR card.

- Does she needed to goto canada to collect her new PR Card after re-apply?

- What is advantage to go by own car compared with bus or air?

Thank you in advance.

--- --She has to apply in Canada and has to collect in Canada

--- BUS, AIR, and TRAIN are commercial transport, if she goes in her car or friends car or with rental car or takes taxi from US side to Canada border or walks by foot (like Niagara Rainbow bridge) then no problem, Once she is in Canada she can travel in air, plain, bus because she is Canada side or some one from Canada should pick her up from US side. “ Vault” is working 3 days in Buffalo US send email to him he may help you if you can reach buffalo or Niagara side

Thanks bhand11683, kewel, and ginnu for your quick response

bhand , I would also like to hear her experience, do they question you a lot on canadian side?
