Travel document options for GC-holder AS6 category

Hi. I'm greencard holder (category AS6). Do I have an option of applying for a re-entry permit? It costs the same, but at least it's valid for 2 years... Or a RTD valid for just 1-year is my only option?

Also, do I need a USCIS travel document in addition to my GC to return to US if I travel to Canada, Bahamas and other countries that are not requiring visas for US greencard holders?

Yes you can get a RTD and no you do not need anything else besides a green card to come back from Canada.
