I have already had a travel document and my situation is as follow.
I believe I am very close to getting my green card for a couple reasons
1)I have had a 2nd fingerprint for an expired fingerprints
2)I received a personal call directly from Baltimore USCIS saying my case was currently being looked at and they would write me a decision (this was a month ago)
So here is my question.. I want to travel but by my travel doc has expired.
But a travel doc takes 4 months to receive, however my green card "MAY" come in before that. So what is the sense of paying $305 for something I may not need if the green card comes in.
Has anyone every paid for a travel document via check? If so, do they cash the check just before they approve your travel document or as soon as they receive your application? If so, this would be good if they waited til they approve/disapprove your application.
