Travel after receiving GC--AOS

Hello All,

One question: I already received my GC for the DV 2007 Lottery. I will be traveling to a country other than my birth country for business (1st exit since I entered the US) and would like to see if any of you had any issue when entering the US for the first time as a US Resident with Green Card...please share your experiences if possible. Also, I have done a few adjustments of status (from H-4 visa to F-1 Student Visa) and have different I-94's but never left the US.

from H-4 visa to F-1 Student Visa

this is called a change of status. AOS is to an adjustment to a permanent resident address.

Once you have your GC, your previous history is irrelevant.

The immigr. officer will ask how long you have been absent and if it's less than 6 months - no problems. Do have proof that you reside in the States.

Thank you LucyMo. My trip will be only for 1 week, therefore the time of absence should not be an issue.
