Travel after Passport Stamping

Hello Gurus!
My passport has been stamped at Newark last month. I need to travel to Mumbai India next month for 15 days due to emergency family reason. I do not have a plastic card yet. Is there any risk involved in travelling? I am not worried much at POE in US since INS officer told me clearly that I am free to travel overseas with this stamp. But what about immigration in India? Do they know about this stamp? Any more documents I should take with me ? Please help!!
 
no need to worry about idiots at Mumbai airport.

They know about AP so my guess is that they know about stamp.
