Hi Guys-
Do you know if it is OK to travel outside the country (on your current passport) after the interview?

I am assuming that the Oath ceremony (in Norfolk) will not be on the same day as the interview.

My details:
PD: 4/2005 (VSC, Norfolk DO)
FP: 8/2005 (took them in 9/2005)
Interview scheduled for 11/1/2005

travel question....

....but don't you give up your Green Card at the interview? If so, how can you re-enter the country, since you don't have residency proof (GC) nor are you a citizen until the ceremony is over etc?

Any help would be appreciated, I am up against it right now!

You need to give up your green card on your oath date, but not at the interview. You still have your green card in hand if you travel after interview.
Also, there are several questions on the back of the oath notice, one of those is "have you travelled outside the country since interview". Simply mark "yes" and give it to the officer, that's it.
