Travel after Interview before Oath

Hi everybody,

I just want to post a suggestion for those who need to travel on a visa between the Interview and Oath.

I need a visa for Europe, and guess what... It was so easy!
My citizenship interview was early November, but Massachusetts is SO behind every other state when it comes to Oath scheduling! I'll take my Oath only on January 28, therefore I have to travel now with my GC and my birth country passport.

I went to French Consulate and was prepared for the usual headache, but put a copy of my Oath letter together with other papers. That is it! The visa was issued immediately, no questions asked!

Congratulations. But you are just assuming the oath letter had some effect? If you have a GC, and are filing from US, they are anyway more considerate.

I am sure they didnt even look at your Oath letter. It doesn't matter to them. All they care is what your current status is. I travel to Europe every 3-4 months for work and I get a visa in a few days without any hassle...Its your GC that does the trick not your Oath letter.
