I need some advise, i am a DV selectee and my plan is that i want to travel to the US first as the principal applicant get the GC and SSN and then travel back to home country resign from my job and go back to the US with the family all within 6 months.please advise if this plan is feasible and that there will not be any problem with immgrantion officers with this plan of mine.

How long can you stay on that first trip? Would it be at least a month? IF yes, you COULD file an I-131 to get a re-entry permit, you would have to stay long enough to get fingerprinted BUT it can be delivered overseas. The I-131 can be e-filed or mailed but ONLY inside the U.S. and it must be accepted while you are still inside the U.S. A re-entry permit is NOT required unless the greencard holder is outside the U.S. for a full year (and it can be for up to two years).

A re-entry permit would give YOU some leeway BUT your dependents would be limited in accordance with THEIR visas as issued.

Alternatively, the whole family could touch based in the U.S. then apply and process for re-entry permits and then the whole family would have the same leeway.

I don't see why there should be any problem with your plan. As the primary, you have to enter the US before or at the same time as your dependents, and both you and your dependents must enter within the 6-month time frame allowed by the visa. Your plan fits in with those limitations.

No need to bother with a reentry permit unless you expect to be spending more 6 months outside the US after your initial entry -- which apparently you don't, since you'll be quitting your job and bringing your family to live in the US within the 6 months limit.
