hi guys!

i have my my passport with valid tourist visa, my green card application is still pending (i have my ead card).

can i travel abroad - and most importand - be able to come back??? what kind of additional documents would i need? advance parole or travel documents?

what is the diffrent between them both???

thank you for hepl!

Please read Travel Document at www.uscis.gov

Advance Parole (pending adjustment of status), Re-entry permits (green card holders) and Humanitarian Parole are travel documents.

In your case, you need Advance Parole and you MUST have it before leave the country. Your tourist visa is not longer valid.

Cherr is 100% right !!!
The fact that you have your EAD card and your tourist visa doesn't expired means NOTHING! considering travel abroad.
Since you've applied for adjustment of status above facts don't put any impact on your chance of traveling just like that. The only solution is applying for Advance Parole, if you want to or really have to travel.
Read that link which Cherr send you & think about it.....there's a lot of risk with AP, even when you have it. Read about that on this board. And I'm not negative, I just want to let you know that there could be problems.
Just thinking,
Good luck

There is a risk of travelling using advance parole "ONLY" if you have overstayed your visa or were in illegal status for 180 days or over. There are few cases where people overstayed and there were no problems using AP to enter, but you never know. Its always better to play safe and follow the rules than to go by someone's experience.
