In my parent's marriage certificate translation, the translator spelled my grandfather's name differently than on any of my mom's other docs (siddique instead of siddiqui)...will this be an issue? i can only assume the translator was pronouncing the "e" like "ee". Anyway, I'm about to apply for my parent's AOS..should I worry about this?

I dont think so it would be an issue, I think there is some discount in spelling names as compare to words, I am also facing the same issue like this, dont know what will happen to my case, but for the safe side I prepared a COVER LETTER and sent it to NVC.. hope for the best and good luck.

If you are so much worried, you can translate by yourself with correct spelling and ask your friends to attest it.
