Translated version of Birth Certificate

Who can translate the Birth certificate? My birth certificate is in regional language, I got it translated from my colleague earlier while filing the 485. INS has asked me to submit my birth certificate and the translation in the RFE.

My BC is also from Mumbai but it is in both languages (Thank God)
Marathi and English written side by side.

There are translation servies companies which can translate your birth certificate. They also give a big seal of validity on the certificate. They charge approx. $100 for this translation. You can find them in yahoo yellow pages.

I translated it myself and got a friend tosign it. Just add the following to the page:

TRANSLATION CERTIFICATION


I, _________________________, hereby certify that I am fluent in the <language> and English languages and that the foregoing is an accurate translation of the original document.
