Transit visa needed?

My family members are planning to visit me in the coming weeks. As we are looking to book their tickets from India to US, most flights have a stop over in Europe. They have a valid B2 visitor visa.

Is a transit visa necessary if they are traveling (and perhaps changing flights) via London/Paris/Franfurt/Zurich/Amsteram? Will a transit visa be required for either the onward trip to US or return to India leg?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot for your response. I assume that if they were to travel via Qatar airways (stop in Doha), they shouldn't be requiring transit visa for Qatar either.

Thanks again.

Qatar does not require transit visas. Check the embassy sites of the countries you think you might transit JUST TO BE SURE.

Cafe is correct. If the layover is less than 8 hours in Qatar, an Indian national doesn't require a transit visa.

TWOV (Transit Without Visa):
Visa required, except for Those continuing within 8 hours to a

third country by the same or first connecting aircraft,

provided:
- holding tickets with reserved seats; and

- all documents required for their onward journey.
Passengers may not leave the transit lounge.
- If transit time exceeds 8 hours and passenger wants to leave

the airport, a prearranged STPC (24 hour) visa issued by the
airline is required, which will be subject to immigration

Thanks everyone for your help. I also called up some of the consulates for a confirmation.
